EntrePovos: Weaving Trust Among Peoples
ENTREPOVOS was born as a network of trust between Indigenous, Afro-descendant, and Traditional (IAT) organizations, the Ford Foundation, and other allies who share a common horizon: strong, dignified communities living in harmony with their territories.
We are united by the conviction that intercultural dialogue and shared learning can transform realities. That is why we created a safe space to listen, connect, and grow together through our differences.
Our work is guided by four principles:
EntrePovos is not a project, it is a process. One built with time, care, and the voices of many peoples.
Active listening, to understand before proposing.
Genuine relationships, built on respect and transparency.
Purposeful continuity, ensuring the transfer of knowledge across generations.
Transformative alliances, strengthening organizational and community autonomy.
EntrePovos is
collective weaving.
- Dialogue facilitation: people who moderate meetings and intercultural listening spaces.
- Knowledge management: those who document, systematize, and share collective learnings.
- Process care: figures who accompany the work emotionally, politically, and methodologically.
-
Organizational bridges: people who connect participating organizations with allied actors such as the Ford Foundation.
There are no fixed hierarchies here, only shared responsibilities and distributed leadership.
